- Act with honesty, integrity, and transparency in all interactions within the community.
- Avoid spreading rumours, misinformation, or falsehoods that may harm the reputation of others or the community as a whole.
- Take responsibility for one’s actions and their consequences.
3. Confidentiality and Privacy
- Respect the confidentiality and privacy of fellow community Users.
- Do not share personal or sensitive information about others without their consent.
- Protect the confidentiality of any private discussions or information shared within the community.
4. Professionalism
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner, especially in formal or business-related interactions within the community.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism and ethics in all communications and activities.
5. Collaboration and Cooperation
- Foster a spirit of collaboration and cooperation among community members.
- Support and encourage others in their contributions and endeavors within the community.
- Work together towards common goals and objectives for the benefit of the entire community.
6. Accountability and Feedback
- Hold oneself accountable for one’s actions and behavior within the community.
- Welcome constructive feedback and criticism from fellow Users and use it as an opportunity for growth and improvement.
- Address any conflicts or disputes in a respectful and constructive manner, seeking resolution through open dialogue and mediation when necessary.
7. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies governing the community’s activities and operations.
- Avoid engaging in any behaviour that may violate local, national, or international laws or regulations.
8. Safety and Well-being
- Prioritize the safety, well-being, and comfort of all community Users.
- Report any instances of harassment, bullying, or misconduct to the appropriate authorities or community leaders for prompt action.
9. Continuous Learning and Improvement
- Strive for continuous learning and self-improvement within the community.
- Seek opportunities to expand knowledge, skills, and expertise through education, training, and collaboration with others.
10. Community Representation
- Represent the community in a positive and respectful manner in all public and private interactions.
- Avoid engaging in behavior that may damage the reputation or credibility of the community.
To maintain the integrity and safety of the community, the consequences for violating the code of conduct can be:
1. Verbal Warning
A verbal warning may be issued to the individual who has violated the code of conduct, notifying them of the inappropriate behavior and reminding them of the community’s expectations.
2. Written Warning
If the violation persists or escalates, a written warning may be issued, documenting the specific incident(s) and outlining the consequences of continued misconduct.
3. Temporary Suspension
In cases of serious misconduct or repeated violations, the individual may be temporarily suspended from participating in community activities or accessing community resources for a specified period.
4. Probationary Period
After a temporary suspension the individual may be placed on probation, during which their participation in community activities is closely monitored, and any further violations may result in more severe consequences.
5. Mediation or Conflict Resolution
In cases of interpersonal conflicts or disputes, the individual may be required to participate in mediation or conflict resolution sessions facilitated by community leaders or mediators.
6. Loss of Membership
In extreme cases of misconduct or repeated violations, the individual may face termination of their membership in the community, resulting in the loss of all associated privileges and benefits.
7. Legal Action
In cases involving criminal behavior or violations of applicable laws, the individual may be subject to legal action, including prosecution and civil penalties.
